If you don't take sides in times of great evil like now, then by default, you take the side of cowardice, complacency, and evil. Also, "neither left nor right" is 99 percent "definitely right but don't want to admit it for some reason"
Hi Gena. Great read and appreciate you writing it.
Leone is conflating his cast and crew’s political beliefs with the text/subtext or lack of in his movies which are not the same and I agree that comparing them publicly is just a way to keep a certain % of the flock happy.
Harrison Ford, for an example, having specific political opinions does not make the the last movie he was in necessarily “political” because of his own personal beliefs so why would the director feel the need to defend it either way.

“Williams has made her political beliefs clear, so I’m not sure what she’s cheering this limp “both sides have good people” nonsense for.”
It shows what the “both sides have good people” nonsense really is — the contemporary equivalent of “Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed whom.”
Paradox of tolerance strikes again!

Very well said!
Another example of how everything is political to liberals. I swear this is y'all's religion.
As a great somebodyerother once said,
“Hell has a special place for fence sitters.”
