I had hoped to have a regular Tuesday post for you fine folks, but life and the upcoming holiday got in the way, so I’m just going to use today to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving (or an equally happy Thursday, whatever stuffs your bird). It’s been a weird and challenging year, but starting this and being able to write for such a supportive audience has been a highlight of it. I look forward to doing even more in the months ahead.
As a reward for your patience, I give you a sneak peek of what I’m working on for Friday’s post: The best way to describe [REDACTED] is to compare it to Homer Simpson being force-fed doughnuts in Hell. The audience is strapped to a chair, helplessly waving their arms and legs around, while a machine jams bright colors and noise into their mouths faster than they can swallow. It’s an amusement park ride that leaves you running for the nearest trash can afterward. It’s the visual equivalent of having a can of Day-Glo paint t-shirt cannoned into your face by an aggressively cheerful Home Depot salesman.
Wanna take a stab at what movie I’m writing about? Hint: it’s not new. Either way, you’ll find out on Friday.
